New mythologies are being built everyday in all variety of mediums: from comic books and graphic novels, to memes and lolcatz.  This series will explore some of these mythologies and serve as an introduction for the uninitiated.

Each week, I’ll be taking a look at another piece of a Modern Mythology, whether it is the newest video game, a key story arc for a popular character, or even a shifting archetype in an effort to explore and understand the new myths of our age.
